BLOG: Virtual gallery idea

As a result of the U.K lockdown, I had the idea to use my background in level design for games to make a gallery space in the virtual world, that I could design completely from scratch to produce an interactive area in which people could explore the exhibition space exactly how I would have had it if it were possible to have a physical degree show. This could have been effective as a visualization of what the degree show could have been, and given all of us the chance to present our work the way it was intended before lockdown. While this virtual gallery idea did fall through due to the fact that a design like this would be highly incompatible/suffer major issues when porting it to a website, I have still kept it in the back of my mind for future ideas, where a virtual gallery could be a more important part. Here are some images from Google in which designers have utilized Unity 3D and Unreal Engine 4 to create interactive gallery spaces.
