BLOG: Cause, Impact, Solution
Three keywords when writing journalism that I think translates over to the area of photography that I explore. I came across these pointers when looking online for tips on writing more objectively. 1. CAUSE address the cause of the issue/topic you are addressing, gather evidence from reputable sources, fact check, and analyse individually the cause. 2. IMPACT examine the impact it will have on people, families, and places. This can make up the main body of the article/project, as it gives the most impact to the work. 3. SOLUTION research is key here, talk to relevant experts, and gather a reputable solution that you can put forward. this sometimes is not necessary in documentary photography, as the very nature of documentary photography is to highlight, not necessarily to fix.
